Calculate the printing area by multiplying the printable zone (nominal the diameter multiplied 3.142) with the nominal height of the tube. The nominal height of the tube is the open tube, including also the non printable zone at the end of the tube for the folding and the mark for the photographic cell.The standard technology for printing is off-set "wet on wet" with matrixes of photopolymers. Four Colours are available on white lacquered background. The ideal grid should be composed of (133 L.P.I).
The shadings must be continuous (maximum intensity 85%, minimum intensity 4%). Overlapping of more than two colours must be avoided. The graphic department of United Tubes is based on Machintosh and is prepared to cooperate with the customer's art director in order to obtain the best quality result. |
